I know from this run Mizzou is on some might question it, but are we watching a basketball game or is this ESPN’s MLB preseason report. I mean, come on, they’ve missed so much of the play by play calls I’m tempted to change the channel. I’m working on stuff I can’t really devote my eyes to the set constantly and would be happy to have it on volume in the background if they were talking about the game. This is pathetic ESPN, you guys suck!!

That's Just It
Haven’t been able to see much of Horns with so many games on it but no LHN available. When we do get a game on a channel that is and the announcers aren’t even calling the game in favor of a 10 minute MLB promo it’s becoming impossible to connect with this team. At this rate I’ll know less about them after the game than I did before. Who’da thunk that was possible….oh yeah, it’s ESPN :(

Honestly, it could have been worse.
Tigers are 8/11 from deep, Chap has two fouls and Wangmene has three.
The Texas zone didn’t work at all. Man wasn’t much better.
For Texas to have any shot in the second half, the Horns must get stops, not allow anything in transition and make sure the right players are shooting the ball (in the post, Myck on the drive, and JCB from anywhere — not Lewis).

Texas has played small for most of the game to matchup with Mizzou. In an ordinary game with two bigs on the floor, we wouldn’t be seeing this much Lewis.

Positives: J’Covan Brown and Kabongo. Good effort on the glass.
Negatives: Transition D, 2-3 zone, shot selection from Lewis and McClellan
On to Manhattan next, look out.

I like that matchup a lot better. K-St guards very unimpressive.
I want to see Barnes play our best players instead of trying to match up with other teams. Make them adjust to you not vice versa.

Overall the team attitude and competitive spirit was excellent today. Best of the year
If that means being a little over aggressive in our shot selection, I will take that. Against a Top 10 team on the road who played a great game, we didn’t duck our heads or turtle we kept fighting.
If we play like this the next 5 games we win at least 2 maybe sneak a 3rd or 4th.
Not impressed with our lack of killer instinct.
Did not play with a lot of confidence. Lot of poor shot selection. I guess it’s youth but we’ve had youth before. Just have to keep moving forward.
