Meet Texas Commit WR Marcus Johnson. Yes, the other Johnson. The last few days have not brought a great deal of good news on the recruiting front, but we have some Elite Talent that are solid Longhorns and they are not getting their just due on this site. Marcus Johnson, WR, 6-1, 180, and a 4.4 forty. Great Hands. Scout calls him a possession receiver that is also a deep threat. Hook 'em Horns to Marcus Johnson.

I felt we heard quite enough about TJ
But, MJ may be better and he is a solid Longhorn. We have a great class and I felt we have almost taken some of these amazing talents for granted. He is a top 25 WR in the nation. MJ is a reallly good get for our offense.

MJ averaged nearly 20 yards a catch. Plus, he was rushing at 12.9 a carry. This is DJ Monroe, with good hands and fighting for Y.A.C. I am getting more stoked about him the more I’m checking him out.

I just hope to god he catches the ball when it hits his hands.....
that has seem to be a problem on the 40 the last couple of seasons for receievers not named Shipley.
Meditation is terrific and all, but I've never heard of it saving anyone from a gang rape type situation. Meditate on that. Rape.
the sad thing about fans as a group is...
…we forget the ones who are quiet and committed and focus on the ones we might loose. of all the hot girls, its the girl you want that doesnt want you, maybe for the challenge or whatever. in fact, we should be shining light on the ones who are quiet, the ones that are ignored for the most part. this will encourage that behavior in our kids and set a ‘culture’ of what it means to be a texas commit.
MJ is extremely talented and he loves us and hence we love him.
there is a lot of objective evaluations that are done here and at recruitocosm, which is great, but it sometimes makes us forget the fact that a kid coming to texas loves us, is willing to break his body to give us the pleasure of watching football. that fact in itself should make us love the recruit unconditionally. just because he cant run a 4.4 or isnt benching 300 shouldnt be reason enough to judge the kid, his heart and his potential career at texas.
hook ’em, esp to all the kids who prefer to stay out of the spotlight

Very well put. In my view, a lot of times the guys that don’t make the noise and hoopla our of the recruitment, are the ones who are the most productive. Focus is key, and guys like Marcus Johnson, thrive because of the focus they bring.
Here’s to MJ making a splash at UT.
