One guideline for tonight
IF OSU loses, some might be inclined to say that their hearts weren’t in it after the BCS snub.
Rule of Thumb: if, three years ago, you mocked Bama fans’ similar excuses after Utah pasted them in the Sugar Bowl, you can’t make the similar argument on behalf of the Pokes tonight if they lose. Which they won’t.
Oregon game comment...
Those helmets are hideous. In fact, their entire uniform is hideous.
It just had to be stated.

I don't know, Dime
I thought the helmets were pretty cool. Wouldn’t look good with the Texas Uni’s but pretty cool.

This is one area where the girls are the complete and absolute authority. :-)
Where is OMS when I need her?

But my house was filled with teenagers oohing and ahhhing
They wanted to take one home!
But I can yield to the authority of a woman.

Horrid!
Agreed. Really, really bad. Helmets looked like those yard orbs. Gazing balls I think they are called. Horrid.

Not looking good for OSU tonight.
The Big 10+1+1 laid a big egg this bowl season.

Motivation
Gundy is playing hardball with his contract. He had better come through tonight or OSU probably isn’t giving in to his demands.

Ha
That Stanford player knocking his teammate down to keep him from ruining the touch back coming from halfway in the end zone was positively hilarious. I’ve never seen a player purposely hit his own teammate to keep them from doing something stupid. Smart play to stop him, though it almost backfired by a mere half yard or so.
TEXAS FIGHT
what the hell
does OSU have against the concept of lining up under center and running a power play?

They needed a TD there. That fumble was a gift

You have to give credit to Luck. It is like Griffin, just an athletic force of nature. The best you can do is hope to contain.

Is it just me,
or has OSU been playing fairly far off the LOS all night? It seems like half the time Stanford receivers catch the ball 5 yards past the line and the Pokes DB’s are near the first down markers having to come back, commonly missing and giving up the first down.
TEXAS FIGHT
The dbs have been missing a lot this evening.

Now that was a great game to watch.
Gotta feel for Williamson after he missed those two field goals though, even though I wanted him to miss ’em.
TEXAS FIGHT
...and congrats to Ok St.
I, too, felt badly for the Westwood kid.
The video reminds me ...
While some coaches (like Rex Ryan and Bo Pellini) are certifiable in an unproductive way, Gundy is certifiable in a good way. It helps his team, I think. Happy to see the Cowboys win tonight for the Big 12.
I will change my legal name to "I. M. Harsin" if Texas scores on a Statue of Liberty or Hook-and-Ladder vs. OU."
