Daje Johnson commits
Glad to see the offer finally come through for Daje. --GoBR--
From a couple of twitter posts, Daje Johnson switched his commitment from TCU to Texas a few minutes ago.

Yippee
This is a great development for us. Hook ’em DJ dos. He will likely outshine DJ uno.
We're Texas, We're not OK.
Just because I know you have the numbers
and I don’t really feel like digging for them, what does this do to Texas’ percentage of commits ranked 4 star +? And does this change your perception from the piece you wrote the other day (last week?)
It puts Texas firmly in the number two spot at like 78%. And the Horns are the only school with 75% blue chips and 20+ HS commitments.
That's just ridiculous
I don’t think even the 2002 class (with VY) approached that ridiculousness. Granted, they proved it on the field, so hopefully this class can do the same.
Keep in mind that Rivals gave out way more 5 stars in 2002
and I believe 4 stars as well. Starting 2003 they cut them back significantly.
I did the numbers, and this class is lower than several recent (2006-2009) classes in that respect

also, let me say im very happy we got another back...
…i have never liked mack’s strategy of taking one back, no matter how great that back is. this really assures me that we will run the ball often and do a good job of it!

And DJ is a blazer
Runs a 4.3 40 and has the moves. And, I hope he gets to return kicks/punts. He’s weaing the number 2 and I’d love to see him pick up like Fozzy was this year (but please, no injuries).
We're Texas, We're not OK.
Welcome to the family Daje!
I hope Mack gives him extra reps when we play TCU so he can smash some sour grapes coming out of Fort Worth.
27-25: SCOREBOARD - to infinity and beyond!
I haven't been checking a lot of TCU boards or anything, but...
…have the grapes been particularly sour?

Haha!
We steal recruits a lot easier than the powerhouses they used to face!

I've played with them in NCAA 12, pretty solid program indeed
Follow me at your own discretion: @fahimizzle
speaking of NCAA 12
I simmed through a week on that game in dynasty and I shit you not one of the scores was “Alabama 2 Georgia 0 OT”

hahahah
The game is realistic! It predicts the lack of excitement when bama is involved. Only a few fgs away from the 9-6 thriller

Remember Brown was being recruited with Aaron Green
And folks were saying Thunder and Lightning. Now, we have the lightning, but I think Bergeron is the Thunder.
Thunder, Lightning, Hurricane and Tornado….we have it all. If our O-line plays half way decently we can be lethal as hell on O.
We're Texas, We're not OK.
scary
To think that opposing defenses will have to tackle a fresh rotation of backs of brown, bergeron and gray for 4 qtrs. Now add in those jet sweeps with our two DJ’s and man it will be quite fun to watch.
If Ash can play a solid no turnover game like against Cal…look out

Thing is, this is college football
A balanced attack is much more critical in the NFL, but in college football, it’s very possible to have all the offense one needs, despite a very lopsided run:pass ratio.

The real key will be deceptive employment of the backs
When there are multiple backs with fairly different skill sets, as is generally the case with Brown, Bergeron, Gray, and Johnson, it’s key to not make the defense’s job easier by cutting down on the plays they have to expect based on which RB is in the game.

Ok, now can somebody give me a phonetic spelling of his first name?
I have no idea how to pronounce it.
We're going to play like we're in a bad mood.
Only a guess
Dah – zhay (soft j – no proper spelling in the English language for that sound – that I know of)
i always thought it was pronounced like
“day-je” like page but with a D

It's not. It's "dah-jhay".
