I liked how they said they thought it was high too. And that James has good name recognition, but it is almost all unfavorable. What a db.

"Vanity candidacy" is exactly the right term
It seems like there are always guys who think so highly of themselves that they imagine others will have the same opinion, and it’s a comical delusion that outsiders can enjoy watching. I remember when Fred Phelps predicted a landslide victory in the Kansas gubernatorial primaries in 1998, but only managed about 15%. Tom Sawyer, the guy who beat him with 82% of the vote, didn’t even get 25% of the vote in the general election. Of course as a half-Kansan, I’m still embarrassed that over 15,000 people voted for Phelps in the primaries.
Craig James entered this campaign to stroke his ego, and he’s going to have to delude himself even more to come out of it without a severely bruised ego.
