I was able to get RRS tickets this year for the first time and am driving up there Saturday from Austin. Does anyone have any tips/suggestions for me? I've never been to the game or the fair. I have no idea where I should park, when I should get there, or even what the stadium is like and if I am going to have to walk up an eternal ramp to near the top row where my seats are. Maybe I'm spoiled with the escalators at DKR to take me up near the top.
Also just how bad should I expect traffic to be going up there? I am actually leaving Liberty Hill so I have the option of taking 183 if 35 is a bad idea. I'm figuring I need to leave around 5am to get there and parked. Hopefully I'm not far off on that - I wont get home Friday night until midnight (I'm on a business trip).
Last thing - safety. I'm not worried about me (I'm lineman sized), but I'm bringing my 16yo daughter. Any worries there? I hear stories sometimes about fights between the good guys and the YOkies, and want to steer clear of that.
Its odd that stuff like this isn't published somewhere easy to find considering the number of people making the same trip.
