Tecmo Bowl defense

The way our defense looked against Oklahoma, I had flashbacks to the old Nintendo games, Tecmo and Tecmo Super Bowl. Given the limitations of the technology then, defensive calls involved merely guessing what the offense called (1 in 4 chance in the former and 1 in 8 in the latter). If you guessed right, your defense would knife through the line and most likely cause a negative play. If you didn't... well, you normally gave up large chunks of yardage as your guys get lost or blown off the ball (literally, they'd go flying).

Tell me that this does not look at least a little familiar. Look at how the linebackers dutifully get swallowed up by blocks, and look at that pursuit and tackling!

Just slightly exaggerated.

For every negative play we seem to inflict (we guessed right or the D-line just made a play), we give up two explosive ones. Not exactly winning football there.
