When guys like this think the Texas program is in good shape, I say it's time to run screaming from the Apocalypse. He probably watched Route 66 and wanted to give Mackovick, "one more year."

More than ran away from us five years ago? Nope.)“Our offense is known for gimmicks.” (How many gimmick plays this year? More than 2005? It’s not the “hot” school anymore."(Must be true…you wrote it!)“Recruiting has now slipped behind A&M.” (It has? Show the numbers on this? How many recruits said NO to TEXAS and moved to A&M…thus far?) “Recruiting competition in Texas has now reached 1980s levels. Difference this time is that people aren’t cheating. It’s legit”…(Smoking crack is bad for your health…legit? How quaint.)

Didn’t we beat both Nebraska and ATM on their way out of our conference? Even when we are struggling as a team, we still have the fire power to pop those two posers.
I have watched the epithets regarding Mack for years…in 2002-2003, the alums were “certain” that he was not the man to get us to the top. Again, in 2007, the rumors were back…one time wonder. No more BCS berths for us. Stop the ridiculous doomsday claims…yes, parity is coming in college football (did anyone watch Bama lose to an A&M team that was not significantly different from its previous mediocre teams of the past two decades…except, A&M was able to take the Big XII concept of “Passing” to the SEC…blew the conference away! It’s called parity folks.
Will TEXAS win more games next year than this year???…Absolutely! Is the BIG XII better today than last year…ABSOLUTELY! Watch the Bowl games and you will see.
Get off Mack’s back. I don’t even want to think of the University BEFORE Mack (aka 1971-1998 – with the exception of a couple of good years – especially 1983 and 1996)
AND I LOVE LONGHORN NETWORK! 2 years in and doing GREAT!
Let’s stop whining about the “decline”!
Mack said in 2011 that we would be back in the title hunt in the 2013 season…we’re not there yet, folks!

A&M not significantly different than previous years? Exactly, except for Johnny Manziel, Kevin Sumlin, and a totally different system and attitude, yep you’re pretty much dead on. Jerk. Parity? Yes, it’s called the SEC, OU, Notre Dame and everybody else.

Regarding your memories of Mack’s previous let downs, you might want to consider that Vince Young, and Colt McCoy had something to do with arresting two previous declines. You might also want to consider that this is Mack Brown’s worst stretch of football coaching since the early 90s.
Your gross recollection of post 71 Texas is absurd. Some might ask you to remember 1972, 1977, and 1981. Some people also have fond memories of a guy named Earl Campbell. Heard of him?

I would answer you painstakingly, but what an incredible waste of time, effort, and energy. Anybody who forgets the Earl Campbell era isn’t even a real Longhorn fan.
