During the last survey (before KSU) 60% of you thought we would end up 8-5. 40% of you thought we would be 9-4 or better. I don't think many of you thought we would show up as well as we did and have the game be close with 5 minutes to go in the fourth, when Diggs muffed punt and Cases's second pick blew any chance of winning the game for the Horns.
Regardless, enthusiasm for the Alamo Bowl seems to relatively quiet for Texas fans. The strange season of sometimes great offense (which surprised many of us) coupled with a defense that was terribly worse than what we expected, and the call for Mack's head have the fanbase split.
Many want Mack gone now, while many are resigned to the belief that he will return regardless.I would guesstimate the vast majority want Diaz replaced as soon as possible. Historically bad Texas defenses cannot and should not be tolerated. Many are saying 2 conference titles in 15 years cannot and should not be tolerated as well, regardless of all the 10 win seasons and 1 National Title. There are two sides to the issue.
So we have 19 starters returning next year and the question is,...."Will we start with a Bowl Victory" regardless of the coaching question for next year or not? Mack has a great bowl record and usually has the Horns ready coupled with the question ...."Will the Diaz Disco open in San Antonio'? The disco has very little cover and line dances are required.
Oregon State is very well coached and fundamentally sound.....THUD ! Lets see what you think.
