Gail Goestenkors will resign as University of Texas women’s basketball coach, the American-Statesman has learned. She is expected to make the announcement at 4 p.m. today. Goestenkors guided Texas to the NCAA basketball in all five of her seasons with the Longhorns. Texas, though, won only one tournament game during her tenure.
