Per a release from the university, Texas wide receiver Bryant Jackson will undergo surgery on Friday to repair a broken bone in his foot. He is expected to return by the start of fall drills, according to head athletic trainer Kenny Boyd. Jackson has already had to change positions once as a Longhorn (he came in as a defensive back) and was in danger of being passed by the freshman receivers coming in this summer before the injury as perhaps the wide receiver lowest on the depth chart for the 'Horns. Playing time could be even more difficult to come by for Jackson since he will miss the summer 7on7 workouts.
