My name is Travis Divita and I am a 6'2" 180lb point guard/shooting guard. I have recently applied to transfer there for the fall. I am being honorably discharged from the US Navy on May 12 after four years of service. While enlisted, I earned my AA and had a 3.5 GPA. I also received the Military Outstanding Voluntary Service Ribbon simultaneously(3 years of consecutive
volunteer service). I worked with Special Olympics and a youth basketball league and coached for roughly 2 years and taught 5th grade math to students. I have been training the entire time I have been enlisted and the time has finally come for full time college. I'm ecstatic about that. I have been playing since I was 3 years old and have studied the game my entire life thus far. I am from Canyon Country, CA and played at Canyon High School. I would be a great addition to ANY team. I can shoot from anywhere, I can dribble, shoot off of the dribble, finish right or left, learning to shoot with the left, dunk 1/2 hand off of 1 or 2 feet, windmill, great defender, and I have an overall very high basketball IQ. Most importantly, I am as dedicated as they come to be the best that I can be. I recently played in a league on base and I put the highlights from the tournament on YouTube. I have to say I was going about 3/4 speed and I was averaging 25 ppg with 18 minute halves and a running clock. I had two game winners in the league also (I LIVE for those moments). I also played in a game against Derrick Rose and 7 other NBA players where I had the opportunity to guard D Rose. I'll let the newspaper article speak for itself (but I have to say I did not foul him! :) Mike Miller and DJ Augustine confirmed it after haha). Please find it attached and check out the video if you have time. I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know what you think regardless. Thank you for your time.
