In my first post on BON I told y'all that FSU and Clemson would soon be coming to the BIG 12. I garnered 61 comments, plenty of controversy, and a fair amount of mockery. NOBODY'S LAUGHING NOW.
Y'all all need to respect the heck out of the WHEEMERS!!!!!!I may not know much, but what I do know I share with the greatest Longhorn fan site on God's green earth.
My updated prediction is that FSU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech will form one pod (Atlantic). I do subscribe to the pod theory that is being thrown around. The second pod (Midwest) will be Notre Dame, Pitt, Iowa State, and WVU. The other two pods will be made up of the Okie/Kansas schools (Plains), and the Texas schools (Southwest). Instantly the nation's most powerful conference.
Texas' schedule will look like this.
Each school will play three non conference games, games against two conference foes from each pod. Each school will also choose one natural rival from an outside pod. In this format Texas would play each school from the Midwest and Atlantic pods twice (home and away) every four years much like the old Big 12. However, the natural rivalry with OU would force Texas to play the other three schools in the Plains pod on a six year rotation. No big deal really......
The Plains and Southwest Pods would form the Big 12 West, with the Atlantic and Midwest Pods forming the Big 12 East. The winner of the West would meet the East every year for the Big 12 championship game. What a game it would be!
