I'm getting a crazy kind of optimism about our offense this year. Another year of experience on the O-Line and the addition of Hawkins into the rotation is making me more confident in our O-Line then I have been since around 2008. With 100 days left until college football begins, what I'm the most excited about is our new fangled ability to run the football.
Year after year we would wait anxiously for the ground game to appear. Mack would emphasize that Greg and he were reworking the gameplan for it, training the kids for it, and we would watch as it was quickly abandoned two quarters into Rice after struggling to move the ball.
This year it feels different. The line, the RB's, and the conditioning could just be "our standard" this time. Can we hope?
Can't wait to watch Brown and Bergeron pound out some yards.
