Freddie Steinmark Feature Length Film Announced

3

The family of deceased Longhorn football player Freddie Steinmark, who lost a leg and battle to cancer in 1971, announced the signing of an agreement with LA based Nine Layer productions to make a feature length film of Freddie's fight. Former high school teammate, Bower Yousse, will author the screenplay. The University has pledged to cooperate in the production. Freddie was an inspiration to Longhorn nation after the 1969 championship season. His legacy and effort to compete for life is more than embodied in the phrase "Texas Fight".
