I was wondering if anyone had any insight into a few questions I had regarding medical school within Texas and also within the UT system itself. I grew up and attended grade school in Texas but than joined the USAF and have done my UG class in CA before moving to Nebraska, wife made me, and finishing my Bach degree (technically in March 2013).
Med school questions abound...
I know that Texas and UT give high priority to state residents for admittance into medical school. I was wondering if I would be considered an out of state applicant as I now reside in Nebraska even though I grew up in Texas. I have a strong desire to attend UT as I am a life long fan but was never able to attend when younger. Also, does anyone have insight into the actual medical school which I believe is in Galveston and what the campus, facilities, and clinical settings are like?
I know this is a wide array of questions but any PERSONAL insight, whether close friend or self, is appreciated.
Also, if one was a Horn fan would they attend OU's medical school to become a doctor if for some God forsaken reason they were admitted there but not UT-Galveston? (Half joking hah)
Thanks and hook'em!
