Bo Wallace, why didn't Texas offer him a scholarship?

New guy here. I've been reading this blog for many years, and finally feel the need to bring up a subject I haven't seen any serious discussion about.

Supposedly Texas had an opportunity to go after Bo Wallace and I see no reason why we couldn't have gotten him ("We're Texas"). Wallace was the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year and also set single season JUCO passing records. On paper and on film he looks pretty damn good. This had to be a step up from the current options.

Texas' most glaring weakness is the QB position, and has been since Colt left. Ash is timid, sometimes inaccurate and hasn't been able to make the throws downfield. Case, while more accurate and confident, is undersized, underpowered, and is a liability to turn the ball over. Although at a lower level, Wallace has proven himself to be the real deal. It would take a lot of convincing for me to see why any QB on the roster is better than him. Why didn't we go after him? Don't tell me it's because of Connor Brewer.

This seems like it has the makings of another recruiting miss for Brown. Does somebody need to close down Mack's Scouts.com account and send some actual scouts out there?
