Sundays with Bill, Ole Miss Recap: Faulkner and Football Edition

Ole Miss was one of my all time road trips. The Grove continues to impress me. Very simply, it rocked me. Ole Miss Football has had little to brag since the 1960s, but their tailgating scene has always been elite. Texas and Ole Miss also played a little football, and the result was shocking. Texas scored 66 points and racked up almost 700 total yards. David Ash threw for 326 yards and 4 touchdowns. It's been 3 years, but Texas finally has a quarterback again. Texas is approaching their balanced offense vision. Malcolm Brown had perhaps his best game as a Longhorn. Vision, decisiveness and devastating cuts. Mike Davis went off. Marquise Goodwin demonstrated to SEC Speed what Olympic Speed looks like. If you pick on Quandre Diggs, you will get burned. Steve Edmond scores the least graceful touchdown since the Fumblerooski. The Texas defense plays an uneven game. I'll take the turnovers, but the missed tackle trend causes me concern. Texas is a Top Ten team. #10 in the Coaches Poll. Recruiting: Texas moves on from Ricky Seals - Jones. The Hyphen Curse continues. What's next for Texas? 2013 Arizona CB Cole Luke names a top 3. Texas made the cut and possibly leads. Remaining targets in the 2013 class. The 2014 targets slow things down. "The glory of the Grove is legend at all of Ole Miss’s rival schools in the Southeastern Conference and beyond. It is the mother and mistress of outdoor ritual mayhem." And Here We Go...
