Horns in the NFL: Week 10

Week 10 of this NFL season was the first without a former Longhorn scoring a TD. But instead, Justin Tucker kicked the 46 yards winning FG in overtime for the Ravens against the Bengals. The 2 year veteran once again showed his clutch ability, something that all Longhorn fans already knew he possessed. This is the fourth winning FG in his short career in the NFL. His previous three came last year in weeks 3 and 11 against Patriots (sorry Bill) and Chargers, game which he sent to overtime thanks to a FG in the last second. The third one came against the Broncos in the divisional playoff game that allowed his team to advance to the American Conference Championship Game after two overtimes. As you can see above, JT knows how to celebrate a game winning FG, and he probably thinks about the Aggies after each one!

With Jamaal Charles, Chris Ogbonnaya and Fozzy Whittaker in a bye week, we didn't have much going on offensively. Marquise Goodwin only caught two passes for 9 yards. The second of them came late in the game and the rookie was tackled on the Pittsburgh 2 yard-line. He was also the target in Manuel's only interception of the game.

On the defensive side, both, Lamarr Houston and Brian Orakpo recorded one sack, the 4th of the season for each. The Raiders DE forced and recovered a fumble during the same play. In other good news, Quentin Jammer made his first start of the season against the Chargers, where he has played for the past 11 season. Jammer had a good game recording 3 tackles and 1 pass broken up.

Off-the-field, Michael Huff continues to look for a team. This Tuesday, he was one of the 16 players working out with the Dallas Cowboys. The ‘Boys were interested in signing him as a free agent this past offseason before Huff joined the Ravens. The status of Jermichael Finley is still unknown and according to Mark Chumra, he might be considering ending his NFL career.
