This is what it is starting to look like to me.
A SCENE FROM BELLMONT OFFICE SPACE
Steve Patterson: So, Mack, what's happening? Aahhh, now, are you going to go ahead and have that resignation for us this afternoon?
Mack Brown: No.
Steve Patterson: Ah. Yeah. So I guess we should probably go ahead and have a little talk. Hmm?
Mack Brown: Not right now, Patterson, I'm kinda busy. In fact, look, I'm gonna have to ask you to just go ahead and come back another time. I got a meeting with a recruit and then a meeting with the Bills (Powers and Little) in a couple of minutes.
Steve Patterson: I wasn't aware of a meeting with them.
Mack Brown: Yeah, they called me at home.
It's starting to look like Patterson (Mom) told Mack no to one more year on their trip to New York, but Mack wouldn't take no for an answer and is now going to ask Powers (Dad) to overrule him. If they don't have the ability to oust Mack relatively quickly and without a huge fight then I hold out little hope that they have the ability to disinfect Bellmont, much less the entire Athletics Department, the way it needs to be done.
