Are the Eagles interested in Texas WR Marquise Goodwin?

Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Marquise Goodwin turned in a solid Texas Pro Day performance with a 42-inch vertical leap and mostly consistent effort catching passes from Longhorn legend Vince Young.

As a result, at least one team asked Goodwin to stay after and catch a few more passes outside the Bubble once the official Pro Day was over. Which team was it?

One possibility could be the Philadelphia Eagles. Roster Watch was in attendance and noticed that Philadelphia scouts were paying extra attention to the speedy pass-catcher:

While it makes tremendous sense for a coach who so greatly values speed to take a serious look at one of the fastest players in the draft, the bigger question is how much need the Eagles have for Goodwin.

After all, the team currently boasts a handful of smaller wide receivers -- star DeSean Jackson, with his new contract, former Missouri star Jeremy Maclin, and stocky veteran slot threat Jason Avant.

If the Eagles are interested in Goodwin, it may be in large part because of his kick return ability. Cornerback Brandon Boykin handled those duties last season, but finished 22 out of 23 qualified players in the NFL in terms of his kick return average.
