Ole Miss Rebels at Texas Longhorns Game Thread - 2nd half

If you’re priority was for Case McCoy to take care of the ball then count yourself ahead of the curve. Not only has he taken care of the ball but has played within Applewhite’s scheme like a veteran starter. Extending plays with his feet, and making a few off-schedule, has allowed the Longhorns to stay within striking distance of the explosive Ole Miss rebels. That and a very workmanlike effort by J Gray. But the real story so far is the reinvigorated Texas defense. After a poor start allowing the Rebels 2 touchdowns in the first six minutes of play, they bolted down the hatches and held Ole Miss to a paultry four minutes of offense and sixty some odd yards. Yes, that Texas defense. So with a two one score lead which Texas team will appear out of the tunnel second half? Buckle up. We’ve got an old fashioned knuckle grinder coming.
