With an entirely new coaching staff, I feel like a few players will be playing different positions. Here are a few guys that I would like to see change spots:
-Josh Turner: Safety to Cornerback- I think could become a really physical, big corner back who could play inside nickel.
-Quandre Diggs: Nickel corner to free safety- A smart, physical player. With his height being a concern, his upside in the NFL could be at free safety in a pass happy world.
-Dalton Santos: LB to OLB/DE - the Man from Van struggles in the middle of the field to find consistent play. In the Big12, he isn't going to cover well. He is, however, hell on wheels and would possess a nice burst off the edge in passing situations. It would also free him up (as a rotational pass rusher) to be a special teams ace.
-John Harris: WR to TE - Obviously he would need to add some weight, but he has the frame. It has been way too long since Texas has had a pass catching TE. At 225 pounds, adding 15 pounds is very realistic.
-Joe Bergeron: RB to Hybrid FB/H-back - He has the size to be a threat with a good set of hands. Think OU and Milliard. With a two headed monster of Brown/Gray, Bergeron's talents will be wasted on the sidelines if kept as only a RB. Find innovative ways to get Joe in the game in those spots.
What do you guys think? Who do you think would benefit the team (and themselves) with a position change?
