I'm a Texan living in MO. I've had a birds-eye view of Pinkel's progress building the Mizzou program. Never has a top-ranked class, in fact anything in the 20's is a good year. With a clear plan, player development, and recruiting focused on players that fit Pinkel has done some amazing things. If you watched them in the SEC this year you see what can be done with 3* players and a plan. I'm taking Coach Strong's advice and not getting caught up "stars". He has worked with 5 stars and 3 stars (and 2 stars) and knows what he needs. With a clear plan, player development and recruiting to fit, Texas can compete and win a NC with classes rated in the 20's. I'm am going to be patient and believe he can build a championship program without "winning" any recruiting championships.
Here's to players that are better at 21 than they are at 17!
