I want to extend my sincerest congratulations to the Brooklyn Nets for stopping Kevin Durant's streak of 30 point games. It takes a special team to be so utterly atrocious, falling behind by nearly thirty at halftime, that Kevin Durant can lazily go 10/12 from the field in three quarters and not have to play in the fourth. Especially amazing were the Nets' panicking double teams on KD 40 feet from the bucket, despite being down by so much, allowing him to make laughably easy passes to carve up their defense. Durant's seven assists don't do justice to the damage his passes caused, but since that doesn't show up on the stat sheet, you did your job, Brooklyn. Serge Ibaka thanks you as he went 12/12 from the field on mostly easy baskets. That's great defensive philosophy right there; send wild and desperate double teams from anywhere on the floor and cede wide open paths to the bucket for everyone else. It's truly a wondrous team you have assembled with $80 million of luxury taxes.
Good job. You were the team that stopped Kevin Durant. /sarcastic rant over
