For at least the third time in the Mack Brown era, the Texas Longhorns on Saturday will feature helmets with numbers on them to honor the 1963 championship team, though the Horns will not be wearing the same throwback uniforms they featured in the game against Louisiana-Lafayette in the 2005 opener.

Brown indicated that the team will vote after the game about whether or not they would like to continue wearing the helmets for the rest of the season.
