Mark the calendar and set the DVR, as the Big 12 has released the time slots and carriers for a handful of games, including four Texas Longhorns contests.
The first three are early-season games, but there's also a time for the Thanksgiving contest. Here they are:
- vs. North Texas at 7 p.m. on Longhorn Network (August 30)
- vs. BYU at 6:30 p.m. on FS1 (September 6)
- vs. UCLA in Arlington at 7 p.m. on FOX (September 13)
- vs. TCU at 6:30 p.m. on FS1 (November 27)
Some notes from the school on the games:
Texas and North Texas last met in the 2006 season opener in Austin, a game the Longhorns won to improve their all-time record against the Mean Green to 9-0. This will mark the third time Texas and BYU have squared off since 2011 with the Longhorns winning in Austin that year and the Cougars winning in Provo last season for a 3-1 series advantage all-time. The 2011 season is also the last time Texas faced UCLA with the Longhorns winning in Pasadena to even the all-time series, 3-3. The Bruins won the previous meeting in Austin in 2010. This year's game will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
After defeating Texas Tech on Thanksgiving last season, Texas continues its Turkey Day tradition by facing TCU this season. The Longhorns defeated the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth last year to push their all-time series lead to 62-21-1. It marks the second time the two teams will have met on Thanksgiving with TCU winning in Austin in 2012.
