In what continues to be a tremendously active day on the recruiting front for the Texas Longhorns coaching staff, the latest target to add an offer is three-star Texas A&M commit Tyree Johnson.

A weak-side defensive end out of Washington D.C.’s St. John’s College High School, Johnson committed to the Aggies in August, but has since added offers from Michigan State, Auburn, Baylor and TCU — the Horned Frogs also offered today. Despite his commitment to Texas A&M, it’s clear Johnson is keeping his options open, as he officially visited Maryland in December and is scheduled to officially visit Michigan State, Auburn and the Aggies throughout January.
The biggest flip threat to the Aggies appears to be Maryland, as he’s visited at least seven times unofficially. It’s unclear which program will receive his fifth and final official visit, if he decides to take one at all.
Johnson ranks as the nation’s No. 481 player and No. 30 weak-side defensive end.
