One of the Texas Longhorns top remaining 2018 targets will be on the Forty Acres this weekend, as Bellaire Episcopal product Jaylen Waddle is set to visit this weekend when the ‘Horns host San Jose State, per EJ Holland of 247Sports.
A four-star pass-catcher, Waddle remains a key target for Tom Herman and the staff, despite Texas already holding pledges from wide receivers Brennan Eagles, Al’vonte Woodard and Rondale Moore.
Waddle has visited Texas on numerous occasions throughout his recruitment, including just before the dead period.
In any case, Texas still has some ground to make up in his recruitment, as Florida State, Alabama, Texas A&M and Oregon are all firmly in the mix. As is the case with several key targets, Texas must win to ultimately secure Waddle’s signature.
Waddle is ranked as the nation’s No. 67 player, No. 11 wide receiver and the No. 7 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
