Defensive Coordinator Hire?

I apologize if this has been posted earlier. Chip Brown of Dallas Morning News is reporting UT defensive coordinator might be Georgia Southern head coach Brian VanGorder. Don't know much about him.

Weird choice

if true. I follow that conference, because of a connection through my brother.

I've actually seen them play (in person) this season and they got beat by the Citadel.

At one time Ga South was the cream of the D1aa crop, but that was when Paul Thompson was there.

I was holding out for Gray, but I guess we'll have to trust Mack on this.(gulp)

He was DC at Georgia

a few years back. Did a pretty good job over there, too- he was there when the Dawgs won the SEC back in 2002. Not as good as Chizik was coming out of Auburn, but it would still be a good choice.
