More embarrassment for USC
"The Los Angeles City attorney's office has filed charges against former USC defensive end Frostee Rucker for two counts of spousal battery and two counts of vandalism, ESPN's Justine Gubar reports."
It's interesting to note the light treatment of the batterer... No warrant for his arrest. He will receive a voluntary arraignment letter.

GAH!!!
I would like to point it that its fairly odd that the event occurred almost 9 months ago, and that it is just coming to light now. It seems like someone else would have known about it with that spotlight on us like it was.
Well Frostee...you fudged the bucket on this one.

You still troll around here?

Puh-leaze
And USC is drawing our ire because your coach won't discipline anyone. Anytime a scandal breaks, he coddles and downplays and insists on non-accountability. The real problem isn't the incidents - it's the Mickey Mouse handling of them by your coach.
You are in no position to be throwing stones.

Huh?!
As for SC the school, I won't pretend to know anything about the culture that they accept because I don't know their track record. It's just ironic that now that the streak is over, all of the bad press is suddenly all you hear about.
That's why I said "Sucks for USC."

Oh
More or less, this has been a terrible offseason. That pretty much sums it up. I would argue Paragon and DC are the more typical fans who can be critical of what's actually going on. I'm still in that honeymoon phase where I'm shocked to be in college, especially at a place like USC. Look to them for objectivity...we both know that's not my strong point.
That said, I'm getting frustrated with all this crap that is going on. PC really needs to crack down on this. And although I don't think he's denying accountability, He definitely needs to be enforcing things more strongly. That said, this is beyond his jurisdiction.

Sigh.
However, if I am reading between the lines correctly here, it sounds like Rucker smacked a girlfriend and broke something of hers... he should have been suspended, if the coaching staff in fact knew.
It sounds like this is something that's being reported long after the fact, so I'm hoping that perhaps they didn't know. Otherwise it's inexcusable.

Overheard
The non-accountability continues.

He made
I'm having a hard time seeing him as an essential piece of the Trojan defense.
Carroll wants to please everyone -- and with young kids thats a recipe for disaster. I think its less about putting his best players on the field and more about him wanting to be liked by his players and fans. Every once in a while you have to put to boom down, if for no other reason than to make an example of the kid -- and show who's the boss.
