more to come
it's gonna be a long day if you're counting missed tackles by a LB
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 2:40 PM CDT up reply actions
So Easy
That seriously could not have been easier.
Killebrew was manhandled
by Adarius Bowman.
this is going to be a long day.
Looks like
It's gonna take a lot of points to beat Boone Pickens University today.

Colt over here!
I can't believe he fell for that...
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 2:44 PM CDT reply actions
I'd like to slap McCoy right in the face
Stupid play.
Okie State
This is how it ALWAYS starts, for the last few years at least. Relax, this team is tough and they'll bounce back.
Yeah
Things have been hard this year... too bad they have to start out this bad at Stillwater. We just need to pull off of the experience of all the adversity we've hhad already this year.
I think we all had a feeling
this could be a disastrous road trip, even before the season started. Who knows, maybe the horns will surprise us.
Maybe he is color blind
That would explain his relentless conisistency in throwing it to the other team.
wow
sometimes it's just not meant to be. Nice hit!
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 2:55 PM CDT reply actions
Derry
Looked great running out of the picture there.
This is absurd. We're a... mediocre football team.
Sigh.
I never played football
so pardon me for asking, but what type of technique did Derry use on that missed tackle?
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 2:56 PM CDT reply actions
ints
one was bad, one was the result of a big hit on the receiver
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions
the
1st was a bad overthrow; 2nd was hit out of the hands of nate jones as he caught it.
by robis726 on Nov 3, 2007 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions
Colt INTS
1st was on UT's 1st play right to the defender
2nd was right in Nate Jones' hands and a bad ass hit popped the ball into the air and an OSU dove to intercept it... I mean a bad ass hit
should be only 1
the second was possessed & then knocked out.
I don't like today's vibe
Iowa State whipping KSU .. Kansas embarrassing Nebraska .. the historically downtrodden seem to be taking out years of frustration .. I hope that is not what we see unfolding in Stillwater
one bad, one not so
one was thrown right too an OSU player and returned for a TD
the second wasn't his fault, receiver lost control of the ball on a big hit
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:01 PM CDT reply actions
online broadcast
usually on woai's website.

Chiles watch
How about changing it up now for a play or two?
I don't think colt knows how to run the zone read
He always seems to be out of place...
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:05 PM CDT reply actions
whether he knows or not
it certainly isn't a natural thing for him.
Nice
Third down play. Thats GD for you, lets just give them the damn game...
beauty call
i love the wr screen. worst pass defense in the nation and we run a give-up play. ach!
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:07 PM CDT reply actions
Thank god
that there is a flag...
Coach Brown
Things are going so bad, mack cannot even spit properly. Gross.
We
need a big play on defense for once. Not just a stop.
HEY DUANE!!!
OKIE STATE IS GOING TO RUN THE FUCKING BALL!!!
Good stop
on third, and I can't even post before they convert on 4th
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
surprise, surprise
Muck and Norton make a key 3rd down stop. Killebrew arrived moments later.
Time to drink
That was a pitiful first quarter.
Let's regroup, get a stop, and score some freaking points.
I share your thoughts.
I'm beginning to regret only buying 4 pints of Boddingtons.
already there
i mean since i'm not a 'best fan' and all. might as well numb this pain a little.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions
Our Run Defense
is really embarassing. I mean, we know they are going to run and we can't even come close to stopping it. Nothing fancy, just off tackle right, off tackle left.
they just keep cutting back
why don't we send a spy
or just tell the line to slide instead of advance forward
Wow
mack chewing ass. and it's not the fans nor the media's?
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:16 PM CDT reply actions
Mack's evil twin = Bush
I'm really glad this game wasn't on Pick `em
How about a Chiles drive?
Try and change things up.
what?
Can someone explain to me the point of the PAT line shift that okie state is doing? Any time I see something like this I can't figure out a reason. Anyone know?
by Bdub on Nov 3, 2007 3:20 PM CDT reply actions
They are prepared to go for two
every PAT, they can assess the match-up along the line and audible for a two-point conversion. It DOES actually work sometimes.
Yup
Yeah it does. We've been there for awhile now. Welcome to the club. Sucks.
We may have beat these guys, but our team sucks, we have no consistancy or creative play calling.
Maybe Fran will be gone this year.
But you guys did come back from being down 35 points one time.
looks like
this game is going to end up more like my OSU by 30 prediction rather than my alternate UT by 30 prediction.
but you never know. you've got to think that both teams have the 2003-2005 games in the back of their heads.
I dont know if
they forgot that Vince isn't there anymore, but they can't come back from a 35 point half time deficit.
The man of 40 years
has his team better prepared. i'm shocked.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:22 PM CDT reply actions
Another Week Off
and another team better prepared than us...
by EEhorns on Nov 3, 2007 3:25 PM CDT up reply actions
Yawn
Hey, Silence of the Lambs is on Fox. Watching that will make me feel better then watching the freakin' horns.
Put the fucking lotion in the basket
I feel like we're getting the hose again
BPU has 4th and 1...
and just goes for it with confidence. we dick around and call timeout. wonder what we'll come up with.

jesse palmer
saw what i saw. oggie had 2 holes and ran into where there wasn't a hole. good job buddy.
train wreck
where's the heart on the field today?
by anonyMoose on Nov 3, 2007 3:27 PM CDT reply actions
I have a question
how can Fox Sports afford to take HD cams to Kansas but no Texas game on ABC has been broadcast in HD. ABC blows!
Hmmm.....
Jamaal Charles runs for 290 last week and he is sitting in critical run situations? Hmmm.
Ugh!
How bad is Texas? Kansas hung 76 on Nebraska a week after Texas' struggle.
that defensive alignment
was ripe for a downfield pass.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:31 PM CDT reply actions
They are measuring?
What happened to the two close ones that OSU was able to get up to the line in a hurry and run the qb sneak? What happened to the measurements on those?
when are we going to accept
that this coaching staff is penn state south?
I have never seen such a waste of talent year after as we see in Texas. I never wanted to believe that Vince was everything but I am having trouble seeing otherwise. We have no consistency, no discernible schemes and we are so pig headed about upperclassroom it is comical.
The next time I see Colt walk of the field clapping after a bad series I am going to hurl.
Commentators
Is it just me or are these commentators particularly insightful?
by Bdub on Nov 3, 2007 3:32 PM CDT reply actions
jesse palmer is actually good
unexpected to say the least. it's always the backups that are good at other things, not the stars.
what a fucking move
not dead yet
Giddy Up!
What a way for Charles to finish the run?
Thats what I'm talking about
maybe GD realizes, finally that this team NEEDS to run the ball. Dont throw to set it up, just run the damn ball down their throats!
Case in point
why are they celebrating so much, we are down 14!!!!
I've been saying
since the beginning of the season that the key to victory is taking the ball out of McCoy's hands. Putting it in JC's hands seems to work.
D's gotta show up in a BIG way
from here on out
Defense
needs to step it up before I'll become too optimistic, but starting to feel a little better
the points are out there
we can score on this team. the defense needs some stops--or better yet, turnovers.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:36 PM CDT up reply actions
Charles is a world class sprinter?
Jesse just said so. Has anybody heard anything about this?
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:34 PM CDT reply actions
I think he runs about a 3 second 100
last week
they said he ran a 10.2 - 300, that sounds pretty world class to me!
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:35 PM CDT up reply actions
Jamaal baby!!!
I'm telling you the kid woke up last week and its carrying over. Great TD run.
Is this for real?
Cincy 31
South Fla-14
And they're still in the first quarter...
REALLY?
are you $hitting me Derry???
He takes the most indirect routes to the ball. And is late on every single play!
this could be our ball
the alternate angle looks good.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions
Blown call
The referees completely blew the call. It should be overturned and Texas' ball.
whats the overturn rate in college
i almost never see one overturned
by robis726 on Nov 3, 2007 3:42 PM CDT reply actions
This could be the break we need
come on refs! Let us win!
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:42 PM CDT reply actions
Seriously,
it took that long for that?
Different game?
The replay official must be watching the Michigan game on ESPN.
Why don't the coaches
and the announcers know that it isn't?
thanks for wasting all our time refs
at least the kick was missed, decent field position too!
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:44 PM CDT reply actions
No
Mack doesnt need to apologize, shit he needs to yell more...
Colt
We should just run broken plays every down...
Gutsy McCoy run.
So maybe we'll have some luck still in the quiver.
That run was so 70s
Off the mat
mofos!!
A JF
Red Rover Red Rover let Jermichael come over...
damn
i was ready to turn this game off ten minutes ago
Jermichael MF'n Finley
How do we not use him more?
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 3:52 PM CDT reply actions
Nice TD Pass
That was a pretty, pretty pass. Back to back TD drives. Hook 'Em!
terrible play by the linebacker
i think he bought on the min-play fake and reacted very late to jermichael. good play call.
Cooooolt!!
He doesn't quit!!
I put on my lucky #12 jersey at the end of the first quarter... had to pull it out of the laundry pile, but apparently its power is not diminished.
why do we have to be against the wall
before GD calls a great game?
sorry correction
i meant to say call a great play.
Nice throw too
I liked that throw from Colt...
Special Teams
Crucial here. This is where Kstate kept killing us.
Pooch kicks
Texas will recover one of those pooch kick offs today.
No kidding
I was watching that option and wondering, "Where's the playside linebacker?" Of course, #40 drifted in after the play.
They're not over pursuing as earlier
I wonder if that was part of Mack's tirade.
I'm sure that
if we see it then mack sees it too and will adjust accordingly....oh wait....
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 3:56 PM CDT up reply actions
Refs
Being awfully anxious to blow the fumbles dead.
GREAT FREAKING HIT!
That was a huge huge play!
what a hit!
lay down the punishment!!! UT ball
Please call FSN
Your announcers have fled to ABC. These two are horrible! Great hit by Muck!
Question
Has anyone ever thought about starting Muckleroy ahead of Bobino and Derry? It might be a good idea.
I hate that play
That stupid drag to Nate Jones on 3rd and 6 where we throw it for 2 yards on a blitz. Never works.
how about
hitting Finley right in front of the umpire? the middle is wide open.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:03 PM CDT up reply actions
Anyone else
see our gunner get shoved from behind right as the returner caught the ball?
and a block in the back on the punt...
and hands to the face, etc.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:04 PM CDT up reply actions
Muck's a monster
Yea, the color guy sucks. The play-by-play dude "Franklin" I think, is pretty good.
Better option play
Texas is slow playing the option. Keep up.
bobino??
I didn't know sergio kindle wore #44.
and with 3:17 left in the first half
Bobino AND Derry make a good play
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 4:04 PM CDT reply actions
The LB's
keep our defense sound? How about the young LB's...
jesse palmer
talking out of his ass on that comment
Read the play
The quarterback is back pedaling because HE IS LOOKING FOR THE SCREEN.
There's the one hand catch
OSU usually gets at least one.
another missed tackle..
but i won't mention names...
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:07 PM CDT reply actions
Good Point...
Probably should have "had it" with him long ago, eh?
Yeah, it's been a steady curve downward
for some time.
If sergio was in
that would have been a fumble return.
i found a way to stream the games
i had to download 2 different programs, search for a feed for the whole first half, and the picture is shoddy, but i got it. yay me.
Please let us know details after the game
Thanks!
Kelson got hurt on the play before
came up limping. Smart move now though, to give the D some time to catch their breaths.
must hold them to a fg
lucky break on that bad pass
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 4:12 PM CDT reply actions
They'll get this damn call.
And another one hand catch.
Did anyone
else hear that redneck dumbass yelling, "GET YO ASSES BACK HERE BOYS, ITS NOT OVER!" He said it like 10 times, great job ABC. Thats the class of OSU...
Why no review of the fucking clock
This is PURE bullshit
They always run off a couple of seconds
Clock doesn't stop until they start moving the chains - not when he goes down... that's what they always do...
Where's the frigging safety.
Covering the TE is basic on the goal line. Dammit.
So?
He didn't get a first down so the clock doesn't stop. Gundy didn't appear to signal for a time-out until they had put the time back on the clock.
GOD DAMN
Refs fuck us again at OSU...These guys need to fired by the Big 12, if this conference has any integrity at all.
refs
must be on the Boone Pickens payroll, too.
well
that just blows, all the momentum we built with sold play just disapperas with that last drive. Great move by OSU going into the half, it's back to being "their" game now.
Fuck
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 4:17 PM CDT reply actions
what are you all complaining about?
they clearly made the right call on the clock. there were 2 or 3 seconds left when he went down and it was a first down so the clock stops. then OSU took a timeout. calm the fuck down.
Calm the fuck down?
Seriously, you are the one getting bent outa shape because of something I said. I use this to help vent some of my frustration. Plus, I'm not the only one here that has said something about the officiating, so why not tell them to calm the fuck down?
last i checked, i didn't reply to just you
and i very specifically said "what are YOU ALL complaining about?"
Plural.
okay kids
neither brown, nor davis, nor akina are here, so there's no reason to be mean. we all want the same thing here.
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:25 PM CDT up reply actions
He still was short of the first down
So the clock shouldn't have started. The penalty gave them a first down, not the play.
You're right ...
Defense still could have made a play at end of half to keep it 21-14
really?
i don't think that was the case. the extra 2 inches from the penalty game them a first down? i'm pretty sure they had it from the pass seeing as they were about half a yard from a touchdown before the penalty.
i'd have to go back and check to be sure though. regardless, if that wasn't a first down, then you have to measure that and if the refs had blown it dead when they should have, then OSU could have just take its timeout.
not true
the play gave them a first down. clock stops. shitty coverage, but proper call.
They were nearly a yard short
The penalty gave them half the distance to the goal which became a first down.
that's not true
i just watched the game again on Tivo. Sorry. You're wrong. the first down marker was at the 5 or 6 yard line and he got to the 1. Go back and watch it again.
Second Half
Since Texas obviously played all second and third string in the first half, will they let the first stringers play in the second?
Sure, when they spin monkeys
on the OSU goal posts.
Its a matter
of them screwing up on numerous calls and not checking to make sure they made the right call before blowing the whistle. Thats what I am complaining about. Have you not watched the game except for that play?
uh....
boys, the refs sucked on the fumble call, but that worked out ok for us in the end. And as much as I hate to say it, 2 seconds was the right call. (yes, yes, I know that usually they just call it a half at that point).
Bigger issues than the refs:
Colt throwing and UGLY int
Going 3 and out after we actually do get a turnover
D playing VERY inconsistent
and our favorite whipping boy, LBs suck
by Crash on Nov 3, 2007 4:20 PM CDT reply actions
True. Never depend on refs on the road.
We're still over pursuing. Playing this offense straight up is the key. Do that and we can stop much of the run and some portion of the passes.
maybe it's the beer
but i have a good feeling about the second half. between BPU's awful defense and the perceived fuck job from the refs, we will rally and kick ass in the second half. we get the ball, we score, the defense steps up...maybe?
by FutureMan on Nov 3, 2007 4:22 PM CDT reply actions
Refs did get it right
On that OSU punt return for TD ... didn't they call it back for illegal block?
Quit crying
CBS announcer just said the dumbest thing ...
As Glenn Dorsey lay on the field after an awkward hit, the analyst said, "Glenn Dorsey will be a top player in the NFL. Dorsey should not play another down for LSU this year. He's got too much of a future to play any more this year."
WHAT?
