Around SBN: Randy Moss A Raven?

And The Winner Is. . . YOU!

Well, everyone but Jason Mayer, I suppose.

Yes, Burnt Orange Nation was voted as the winner of the "Best Community Award," a recognition that makes me beam with pride. Seriously, there exist countless superior bloggers than AW and I, but I always insist that you'd be hard pressed to find a better group of readers and community than that at BON.

Take a moment to read Joel's award presentation post - he's got a lot of nice things to say about you guys, including specific notes on some of our most regular contributors.

It sounds all hokey to gush about an award, but I'm genuinely thrilled that you guys were recognized for your interaction at this site. I tell anyone who'll listen that the readers at BON make the site what it is.

Congrats. And thank you.

Let's have an even better 2007.

Community
We're human, we all want to feel like we belong.  So I think it's especially gratifying that this community in particular has been singled out in the blogosphere.  With very few exceptions, everyone is welcome, and all dialogs serve to expand and increase our knowledge of and devotion to all things Burnt Orange.

However, it must be said that this community would not have developed as it did without the careful nurturing of our two esteemed moderators, PB and AW, and their able assistant Eye-gore.  I mean, AR.  Congrats to the three of you, and to the rest of you BON'ers out there.  Thanks for creating a place I call "home" for about 14 hours a day.

Congrats
When I form an image in my mind of what I want my blog to look like, I imagine it being as funny as EDSBS, as analytical as MGoBlog, and as well written as SMQ. That's my goal. But all of it is driven with the intent of having a community like you guys have here on BON. Congratulations to all of you. Well deserved.

Congrats BON
Well earned. Not like this was any surprise, we all knew you'd win it because this is about as good a blogging community as could be reasonably expected.

Congratulations.

I'm sending Sacheen Littlefeather up to the podium to refuse my extremely small slice of the award :)

Congrats.

Even though you say we're the winners, you guys have made it what it is.  Congrats, and keep up the great work.

Miss Congeniality?
This is a good time to say how much I appreciate everything you do here. I can tell you enjoy it as much as I do.

way to go ... me?!
Hats off to you, PB, AW, and AR.  This wouldn't be such a thriving community if the content wasn't so great.  I am now hopelessly addicted to this blog because of the insight, humor, etc.  You guys do a great, great job and I appreciate all your hard work.

Hook 'em!

I'm not that talented
of a writer. I've been blamed for poor English. I'm older than most everyone on this blog, and I couldn't feel more at home. I've visited other blogs via links here, and none compare to this blog. Congrats to PB,AW, and AR.......I would also like to say Thanks to everyone for the acceptance into this blog.

Thank you sir.
I think it's great that we have all generations contributing to this exercise, from the more senior and wise (you) to the young and foolish (you know who).

Also, you've been keeping me in line ever since you used "Texas '69" to close one of your comments. For a while I thought my dad was posting on here and that scared the crap out of me...

So take that.

Little bit of a testimony
I used to read specifically for the articles on the main page, and to waste time read the diaries.  Now, I often find myself reading the diaries with as much interest as the main stuff.

Kudos everyone!  Good stuff, from really good people (with the few exceptions - you know who you are).

Why you got to call me out like that?
I may know it, but you don't have to put it in my face.

LOL!!!
And I hate that freakin acronym.  Thanks Wells.  The day I'm having at work, I needed that.

Congrats Peter.

Well deserved.

Congratulations
This is probably the biggest honor that any of the sites on the blogsphere could receive.  I'm proud that I can say that I'm a minuscule part of it.

Congrats and thanks to PB, AW, and AR.  Like BevoMatt says above me, this is very well deserved.

Thanks to everyone
Thanks to all y'all for the nice words. We work hard on this site, but do mean it when we say it isn't what it is without all the amazing participation from you guys.

Many, many thanks.

Well deserved congrats
What makes this community so great is that there are so many contributors who consistently provide quality and insightful contributions (PHF and 54b immediately come to mind).

Also, thank you for making fans of other programs a welcome and integral part of the community.

I really think that
blackdog81 says it best "Also, thank you for making fans of other programs a welcome and integral part of the community". There really is a difference in how you're treated at BON vs. other blogs. Look how long we put up with brazos....
