AW and I are headed to the Drum with MMHorns, so we'll leave the open thread for those of you catching the action on TV. For a more thorough listing of how to find ESPN+ in your area, please refer to this listing. MMHorns and I are pregaming as we speak, worrying that this could be a tough trap game for the 'Horns. I can't help but worry a little bit about these home games which follow a road trip, as we never seem to shoot as well as we should. Still, I'm expecting a win, and AW's prediction looks as good as any. Big, big game tonight - perhaps the most important left on the regular season schedule. Winning tonight gets us to that 10-win mark in conference and lets us all breathe a little easier. Get to 10 conference wins and the rest is just icing on the cake.

I think i've noticed a trend...

A&M really hates Texas and plays out of their minds whenever we play each other.

Tech really hates A&M and yada yada yada.

However, do we really have a hated rival in all activities like this? I'd agree with OU for football but there really isn't that much rivalry and animosity beyond the gridiron.

There used to be

basketball rivalries change so quickly. Texas and Tech used to battle like crazy in the SWC. OU and Texas would go back and forth a lot in the early years of the Big 12.

Long time, first time...

I unleashed the fury. I was told at 8:30pm that the game was blacked-out, PPV only and buy the game. Told them to get bent. 9pm, it comes on. CW FCC regulations could not pre-empt ESPN+. Thanks TWC, missed one the best halves from UT all season.

TWC Sucks

I was once told by a TWC "Supervisor" that a baseball game was not being televised as scheduled because of a rain delay. Never mind that the game was actually taking place (radio/internet updates), and, oh yeah, it was being played in a Dome!!!

That was fun. I was second row behind the south goal, along the center aisle. Some kid down the row from me had a bucket on which he wrote "Rick's Magic A** Lotion." A guy across the aisle from me had a sign reading "Hey Bobby, not only does Durant go to every class, tonight he's taking you to school." At the end of the game we pulled out a "Worse Than Baylor!" chant. And I once yelled "Hey arrius ackson, you leave the J's at home tonight?"

When everyone chants "Mooney! Mooney!" it sounds like "Rudy! Rudy!"

Also, I noticed in the second half when we were passing the ball around the perimeter to waste time, DJ was yelling at AJ to come to the ball a bit, but AJ wouldn't. Then when they went back down court AJ yelled back at DJ. Neither were smiling. I was confused.

Harrison Smith looked chubby and unathletic.

txtwstr7 (or whatever it is) did his thing beautifully tonight.
