Heard on ESPN radio in Dallas today he got busted for marijuana. Just curious if you think Mack will keep him?

going by the OB rumor mill...

He took a drug test and passed it. It was one of those "he was in the wrong car with the wrong driver" situations.

Benson, Brown, Gatewood, now Howard & Collins....

Is this going to become an annual event for us? If so, then I guess you have to admire their initiative to get it done before even enrolling at the university.....very ambitious of these guys.

Why are we surprised

That high school and college kids are in cars with pot in them?

Was I just a total delinquent?

I understand that these kids need to understand that they will be held to a higher standard than their friends will, but as long as they pass their drug test, give them some extra wind sprints and be done with it.

Now 4 lbs of pot in your backpack is a bit different.

Who didn't have a close call in high school involving alcohol and/or weed and/or a large bag of fireworks at your feet in a backpack that one of the cop asks you about? Luckily, they were part of a speed trap and only cared about the speeding ticket.

Note to self

never take that backpack on the plane.
If the drug sniffing dogs don't go ape because of the residual weed smell, the little cotton swab they rub on it will certainly go off for explosives.

Actually....

My backpack did get tested in the airport once. This was about two years since any fireworks had been in it. I was randomly selected to be swabbed and they detected something on the backpack and had to run a more advanced test. Luckily, I escaped any cavity searches. I later remembered the fireworks and laughed about it.

The backpack never had any other illegal substances in it or around it. The weed was not mine and nobody even knew the guy was carrying it until later on. Illegal fireworks were my anti-drug.
