McCoy on CNNSI
There is a nice story about Colt and the boys on cnnsi.com. When is the spring game again? Too man days away...

GD's quote about the a&m game:
I don't blame them for playing him, considering how the rest of the team played after McCoy went out in the K-state game. But it's good to see they've recognized the mistake and are trying to get a #2 QB more playing time early in the season in case Colt goes down again, so they won't feel the need to bring him back before he's ready.
also, they should fire dr. brad mccoy.

The strange thing to me
Why would you let the QB play with an injury to his throwing arm?
I guess they can excuse playing him if he reassured his health, but allowing him to continue playing through four quarters deserves criticism. We could all see he was off on his first few throws.
Of course, without the BS push off call on Limas or twinkle toes Melton this would be a moot discusion. Horns would probably win a close one.

No doubt.
I completely understand starting him, but by the time the 1st quarter was over, he should have been in the locker room.
And yes, it was THAT obvious and there WERE people saying it on the game day thread. This isn't just revisionist history.

and
It simply comes down to the fact that their best chance to win was with an 80% (debatable percentage, I know) Colt, rather than with Jevan. He was cleared to play and they went with him.
Of course you can say he probably shouldn't have been in there. Would you rather GD had said that, in light of what happened, he would put him out there again come hell or high water?
Sometimes you can't win for losing around here.
