You're Not Doing Anything Anyway. . . Join Us

Orson and I plunge in to week two of EDSBS Live tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT. Tonight's topic is spring football and getting through the long, insufferable offseason.

We've changed our digs, getting picked up over at NowLive.com, a fancy new host that allows readers to interact with us live via chat and, of course, phone in.

Tonight's four questions for callers:

1. What do you know about your team going into spring practice?

2. Better still…what don’t you know about your team going into spring?

3. What’s your offseason coping mechanism?

4. What’s the most badass way imaginable to die? It should probably involve a bear, torpedo, steamroller, or all three.

i want to
but will be otherwise occupied at 8. ("otherwise occupied"=getting drunk playing sports trivia).  but so you know, the most badass way to die is like Slim Pickens in the greatest movie of all time, Dr. Strangelove: riding an atomic bomb like a mechanical bull as it's dropped out of an airplane over the soviet union in what will surely lead to the triggering of the doomsday device and the destruction of all of mankind.......fuckin' A.

seriously, greatest movie of all time.

BZ, we think alike
You also like Eddie Izzard, and now Dr. Strangelove?

We both have very, very good taste.

Good show
I called in, but too late I suppose. However, the "chat" feature was next to worthless. Having to refresh the browser every three minutes just won't cut it.
So take that.

Also listened in
Good show, but PB, maybe you should plug in the ethernet cable to the router next time.

Tried to post to the chat, but never saw it come up.

Liked the political adds.

Crawfish?  They are nice, but I don't think they beat TOA's brisket.

Good Show
I dialed in to catch the second half. Something was odd with your mic, Peter. I could hear you breathing in the background.

The chat function sucked. Way too laggy to really interact with the show. Half the time you typed something it never showed up. Or if it did, it took a minute and by that time the show had moved on past the point you were trying to make.

But not bad for a second attempt.

Same here PB...
Show sounded better.

The chat function has some great potential.

Keep up the good work.

which of the following...
...is the most likely reason that i can't access the rebroadcast of the show?

a) it's not available yet
b) i'm using a Mac
c) i'm sort of drunk

i'm going with b, but c is making a late surge...

sober mac user
couldn't hear it either.

but i have been sniffing glue in the parking lot.

seriously though...
every time i click on "listen to the rebroadcast," i instead get a live feed of whatever show is currently on.  i then try to select EDSBS from the pulldown menu, but that does nothing.

anyone got any ideas other than try it with a PC?

Chat feature
I wasn't able to tune in or attend the broadcast in any shape or form, but the chat feature sounds like a good idea.  Seems like a shame that it was so laggy.

I know of a couple of other internet-broadcast radios shows that feature a chat room (regularly read by the show hosts) and the chatters really help the show move along at a nice pace (while adding insightful, funny, and all around entertaining comments).

Dish the ball to KD for massive damage!
