Around SBN: The 2008 Big East in fives Bar-right-arrows

Austin, Nashville, Seattle

With last night's NBA Draft, I added another city to my Favorites list: Seattle.

Not only did the Supersonics draft our boy KD, but they did PB one better, trading to snag my other boy from college basketball last year - Jeff Green.

To begin with, big congratulations to Kevin for the #2 selection. I never thought about him dressed in Baylor green, but it'll do. For now, though, we salute Kevin for his stylish nod to the burnt orange nation with his evening draft attire.

A hat tip, as well, to KD for his new series of commercials with Gilbert Arenas for NBA LIVE '08.

KD

How did they get him to miss a shot?  I wonder how many takes it required...

How Seattle wasn't already on your list of favorite cities is a tad disturbing.

I would move there before Austin.

I already loved Seattle

Though not more than Austin.

re

Good.  I find that acceptable then. :) Just joking.  It's a tough call, but the weather pushes me over the edge towards Seattle.

The big question becomes if the Sonics will actually stay in Seattle.  Of course, I don't know how realistic of a possibility that is.

And don't forget Frasier

One of TV's all-time best comedies.

You say that...

despite every episode being set up exactly the same?  There's more to comedy than dramatic irony.  I would think an all-time great comedy would be aware of this.

A fair criticism

Though the dialogue and acting were so superb (at least until the Daphne-Niles story got out of control) that it mattered very little what the plot of a given episode was.

The Green Deal

Makes me wonder whether Seattle is thinking of going with a 5 forward lineup. They already have Nick Collinson, Danny Fortson, and Rashard Lewis, plus a couple of rookies from last year.
