PrintMack's up to his usual tricks, and is in the process of sealing up the top talent in the state of Texas, with twelve top athletes already pledging allegiance to the Burnt Orange. It looks like he's going to pass on Russell Shepard, but by all appearances the Horns will land 4-5 of the top 10 in the state... all of whom are also on the Rivals Top 100!

If we land Walters, this OL class will rival the major haul we scored in 2007 (Hix, Huey, Allen, McGaskey). The DB class is already solid (and sorely needed), so adding Brent would be the icing on the cake. We have a top RB to replace Charles, and one of the top QB's in the country. We still need a couple of DT's and at least one more at DE and WR but there are plenty of prospects at those positions so we'll trust Mack to nail down the best.

theres lots of time left until signing day. I don't understand why everyone is giving up on him so early.
He said himself that he wanted to see what happened at spring practice regarding our QB situation before he made a decision. If one or two of our guys transfers/switches, this guy is likely ours.
Ok fine
So he's on the prospects list. I just don't think we'll get him. We've got our QB of the future. We're pretty much done at DB, and Shepard wants to go to the same school as his cousin Craig Loston. Pistol Pete is probably lickin' his chops as we speak.

This kid is a stud and the film will leave you scratching your head as to why he's not in the rivals 100.

odd that they publish the kid's home address and phone number on that scouting website. :(
seems dumb.
he sounds like a great kid--3.7 GPA, wants to study architecture, bunch of football recognitions/awards, etc.

We really need to lock down the in state talent.
But im also wanting to see what happens with the out of state prospects like that crazy DE from Arizona, and that DB out of Alabama...dont really remember their names.

Per Rival.com, Mack has told Vaccaro that he'd shut down the DB recruiting when he commits (or something like that). Are we still recruiting Brent and the Alabama guy?

is supposedly visiting this weekend. He's a must have IMO. But you have to wonder about what Mack said to Vaccaro.

WR Emory Blake
It's almost assumed that he will get an offer from Mack after attending a summer camp here. That should wrap up the WR class in style.

Also
add DE Alex Okafor. He's supposedly down to Texas, LSU, and Stanford. He, Walters, and McFarland are the most important targets left IMO.
