must be baseball season
channelsurfing swing/miss strike 1
raptors foul - 3rd baseline strike 2
cstv strike 3...looking
I'm out. It's going to require a torrent?
and I'm a n00b at that, so...anyone?
I'm interested as well...
Can't find it anywhere so far... ESPN says it's on 360 but it's not listed.

think they only carry espn?
Does raptorsnation and channelsurfing only carry games on espn full court?
I'm not at the gaaaaaame!
And my girlfriend will be in attendance on the couch.
Goodnight, Nebraska, thanks for coming!
Wow that was easy
How do we let Maric get that open?
We're already settling for threes. Open threes I guess, but they're not falling.

Unreal
And I was hearing that "Tickets are going fast for the last 2 home games. Buy them now!"

The game is on ch 54 in Austin
FSN. There's also Craig Way of course on the radio.

Johnson, Chaps in the game real early
GJ gets great post position but passes for some reason to Chaps who misses the J.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 6:42 PM CST reply actions
What else is new?
Chap wide open to finish but completely misses the pass.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 6:43 PM CST reply actions
Wow now Lewis is in the game
Something tells me Barnes isn't happy with our early effort. Lewis/Chaps getting early time. Might as well put in Dexter.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 6:47 PM CST reply actions
JD doesn't get to play for the rest of the season
after three feet of airball.
Lewis fouls someone shooting a three
And then the guy makes it on top of that. WTF is going on? It's like we're watching Texas from 2 months ago.
Down 10-3 early.

NU not shooting good.
Except for DJ, we're a floor of dead men.
wow
i'm not getting the game but looking at the scoreboard i'm assuming we're not playing very well
are we really THAT cold..
or is the espn gametracker spazzing out.
Nash to Amare
Oh wait never mind... that was DJ to James.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 6:52 PM CST reply actions
We've been jacking threes
since the first whistle.
Nice play by James to draw the foul, though.
MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS!
WOW
James misses 2nd FT but Mason rebounds, hands it off to James for the MASSIVE throw down.

you know you're a savage when...
your yahoo stat line says
11:44 Texas - Damion James dunks the ball
11:44 Texas - Damion James misses a free throw
11:44 Texas - Damion James hits a free throw
One reason why Drum is probably empty
Since spring break is next week, all the professors decided to schedule their exams for this week. Everyone is at the library.
Ironically, the Drum would be a great place to study considering how quiet it is.

Plus the caucuses at 7:15.
I'm leaving now.
Y'all guide them through this.
Hook 'em.
UT now in the lead; timeout NU
16-14.
UT on a 11-2 run.

Is Augustin a better shooter than AJ?
Or does he just take better shots?
I'll go with the ladder
I think AJ is definitely a better spot up shooter, but DJ can make some crazy ass shots.
In a three point contest, I'd go with AJ.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:03 PM CST up reply actions
DJ has more open shots
AJ is the more pure shooter. DJ isn't behind by much though, which is impressive considering his averaging 6+ assists per game.
geez i'm so mad i cant find this game online
i hate watching games on gamecast
Johnson with the easy hook
Despite a sloppy start, we only have 1 turnover all game.
We need to keep feeding GJ. That was ridiculously easy.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:07 PM CST reply actions
Wow... AJ missed FTs already
Missed 2, and last one was front end of a 1 and 1.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:08 PM CST reply actions
I hope we keep going inside
If we don't establish a solid inside game again before the Big XII championship and NCAAs, we're going to be playing catch up the majority of the games we play.
LOL Johnson
Makes FT and goes back to play D when he was supposed to shoot another FT. I guess that's what happens when you're so used to missing them
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:10 PM CST reply actions
There you go NU
keep shooting threes. That last three hit the top of the backboard... and he was open.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:11 PM CST reply actions
Another sick shot by DJ
He's really mastered that fall away J from the baseline.
29-20 Texas. Timeout Nebraska.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:12 PM CST reply actions
Really difficult shot
I doubt many people watching appreciate just how tough that shot was. They need to start running the offense and getting it inside. They might as well practice running some actual half court plays instead of relying on DJ every trip down the floor.
Dexy in the game
Another timeout by NU because we've ran off two consecutive fast breaks off steals. First one was a James dunk and then a DJ layup.
33-20 with 3:04 left.

We
are really missing our starting point guard.
Let's face it, we're not a great basketball team, but Doc Sadler may be capable of building a decent bball program.
But, man, we're discombobulated at times.

Every Big XII team...
has looked discombobulated this year at one point in the season. From what the commentators are saying, Barnes was really praising Doc today so your program is well on its way to being competitive every game. The Husker defense looks pretty solid most of the time.
38-25 at halftime
DJ and James with 14 each.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:24 PM CST reply actions
I really like...
...the aggressive D as the half progressed. I think we are forcing them to take a lot of 3's, which you can tell the Huskers don't like and aren't good at. Furthermore, we're pressuring the ball more, and it's getting tougher for them to get the ball inside to Maric.
If the horns keep it up, we should be able to win going away. We need a good solid win to get things rolling again leading into the big 12 tourney.
we have
a really young team. Maric is the only senior, and I think these guys struggle at time figuring out if they're going to step up and score or try to let someone else do it.
You saw that indecision in the two three's that were complete bombs, including the one that went off the top of the backboard.
It's gotten better as the season has gone along, but obviously still a problem on the road.

Okla St.
If they beat OU at home tomorrow, they will be on a 6 game winning streak in the Big 12. From 2-7 to 8-7 in conference. The streak includes wins over Baylor, @ A&M, and Kansas.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:34 PM CST reply actions
And Then......
It will be over in Austin on Sunday. OSU can get six in a row for all I care, seven ain't gonna happen.

Can't complain about the game now
But I don't like getting off to a sluggish start. What if this happens in the tourney, and the other team has full momentum and continues to pull away? We can't afford to be in comeback mode all game.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 7:37 PM CST reply actions
Some more sloppiness
But it's still a 12 pt game.

good defense
by Nebraska, and getting some threes to fall.
texas went a little cold, but has hit two threes in a row for a six point lead.

yea so i was watching
the purdue@ohio state cuz i dont have this game but i checked the score and our 12 point lead dissappeared. scary.
stuck watching the OSU/Purdue game as well...
as I'm watching the ESPN gamecast and following here. Very hard to watch the lead disappear without knowing what's up!
Texas by 4

I'd welcome more running commentary...
from those who can actually watch the game...

61-59 Texas...timeout Nebraska (0 TOs remaining)
Atchley had a good look at a 3 last trip down and missed off the front iron.
Texas up 61-59

Hey the site's working now
Can Connor stop moving on picks?
Man they really need to move that 3pt line back to the NBA range. This game is so ugly and both teams are just trying to go for the three ball. I'd like to see actual basketball and set plays that get open jumpers or layups.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 8:16 PM CST reply actions
This game is eerily resembling
the Wisconsin game. NU is also without their best guard. Hopefully we don't choke like last time. AJ makes your FTs.
Connor with 5 blocks today. Just wish he could give us more on offense.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 8:18 PM CST reply actions
DJ misses
Atchley fouled by Maric on the rebound
We're fronting Maric
and that strategy is failing horribly.
Tie game at 61 with 1:14 left in game. Unreal.

o crap
we're in a tight game..
Nebraska wants to win this one more...
I hope we win, but either way I hope Barnes works their ass off. This team needs to wake up.
why does it always seem like..
teams shoot lights out from behind the arc against us.
Just got home
What the hell. So far I have seen a stagnant offense with a terribley conceived defense (fronting a post guy at 10 feet). Has it been this bad the whole time.

DJ defenseive board, they foul
Abrams at the line...
here we go again, let's make em this time
whew.
Should be close to being over. All we have to do is hit free throws down the stretch. Um.. ok I am nervous

Roller Coaster
According to CBS Sportsline, AJ made a 6-pointer. Painful not to be able to watch this.
Abrams makes the 1st again

WOW horrible pass by Connor
We get the ball back, but a banged up Mason has to shoot the FTs.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 8:26 PM CST reply actions
But Mase makes both!
Wow in a really sloppy game, we do something we haven't done in awhile. Make clutch FTs.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 4, 2008 8:27 PM CST up reply actions
Connor almost throws it away
Mason takes it from Maric, Texas up 2, mason shooting free throws, 9.4 seconds left
with less than 20 seconds left
we're letting them score too easily.
WOW
Close games are so much more bearable when UT is swishing their FTs.
Since I Pretty much missed the game
I am very interested to see the write up. Get busy would you AW. Just kidding. I will take the win but we have work to do.
by TexasWhitey on Mar 4, 2008 8:28 PM CST reply actions
They played well
This game will be good for us, but the last two games have got me worried about our D again
Well
We'll get you guys some time!
This game could have easily been a blow out, but I was glad to see the Huskers show a lot of guts and keep playing.
Good to see us shoot well, or at least better than normal, should give our young guys a lot of confidence moving forward.

Nebraska 8/9 Seed
Nebraska will probably be an 8 or 9 seed in KC next week. That means UT has a good chance of seeing these guys again on a neutral court. While the Horns pulled this one out at home tonight, they've got me scared of the worst possible scenario playing out in KC - a first round loss. That could drop UT down into a lower 3 seed if they are not careful.
I really hope UT doesn't see NU next Friday. Then again, UT's next opponent, OSU, will probably end up in the 8 seed and we may not want to see them either, depending on Sunday's game.
I hope after these last two games Barnes does some serious teaching and motivating here. This ain't gonna cut it in the big dance. We know and they know they have it in them, but it's the wrong time of year to think they are so good they can turn it on and off at will. From here on out, they've gotta kick major butt all the time, no more slacking.
Wouldn't read too much into this one
I saw a Texas team that looks a little tired after a long season, but I noticed that they always seemed to have another gear when it mattered.
Really happy to see them hit those freethrows down the stretch too. That's a must come tourney time.
I think you can put this one in the "not pretty, but we'll take it" category.
Glad to be playing at home this weekend with a chance to tie or win the conf outright.
And did I read that right, we're playing OSU on Sunday? What's up with that? Doesn't bother me too much as we're assured of a first round buy in the Big XII tourney and won't play again until the following Friday, but it seems odd not to have everyone in the conf end on the same day.
