Vince Young Wins NFL Rookie Of The Year
Vince Young wins the NFL Rookie Of The Year Award with a decisive 23 out of 50 first place votes. He finished the season 8-5 as a starter for a team that started 0-3 without him and looked completely dead in the water. His numbers, though in line with other rookie quarterbacks in history that have had prolific careers, weren't the dominant numbers we saw in college. But, as Rick Gosselin wrote yesterday, "Most NFL quarterbacks must learn how to play the position before they can win games. Young proved he could win while learning. He's going to be special."
And that pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
Congratulations to Vince Young and his teammates for the honor. I'm already looking forward to playoff football in Nashville next season.

YAY!
Defensive ROY went to Texans's Ryan. Think about it..they could have had both.

Texan's drafted well, but it has to taste bad
- Would the Titans trade VY to Houston for Carr AND Ryans?
- How about throwing in SuperMario, three for one?

you mean like Jackie Sherrill did
yeah, Sherrill had a bull casterated in front of his whole team, on the practice field the week before they played UT (and I'm ashamed to say it must have fired those Bulldogs up 'cause they won!) but Sherrill never amounted to anything at Miss State since he couldn't pay for players or convince TX recruits to come to Mississippi.
but if you really want to talk about stupid, how about an Agriculture school that seeks government grants to produce a 'hornless' Longhorn and a purple carrot. Nice use of taxpayer money there Fightin' Farmers!
Brazos your smak post-Holiday Bowl has grown so incredibly weak and boring. What's the deal? It's always such a shame to see an Aggie that is faced with the reality that never in his lifetime will his team accomplish what their arch-rivals have AND that said rivals don't even care as much about them as they'd like to think they do...

Right On...
VY almost can make the NFL history for the team (0-5) to make to the playoff. He got every help he can get on that sunday. denver had surprisingly lost to 49ers; steelers put up the fight to spoil cincy playoff spot although, steelers had already out of playoff chance. kansas city done their job.
What a great opportunity for VY to get into the playoff but his D didnt help him on that day. their D gave up a lot of big plays.
New England is my other cursed team now. They were already got into the playoff before they play against VY. Why the hell they need to knock off Titan on that day? I want them to lose to NYJ at the 1st round just like New Orleans.
Hook'em!
