Halliburton: Jaxon Shipley Out With Broken Collarbone

Unfortunate luck for Jordan's little brother, the star Brownwood wide receiver poised for a strong junior season. Broken collarbones usually heal within about 12 weeks, putting a tentative return date after the end of the season, meaning he probably wouldn't be ready any time before the playoffs start. It also means he will probably miss the Graham game on October 23 and a chance to face off against the McCoys. Disappointing news for Jaxon and his family, but his injury should heal fully and it should not impact any potential offer from Texas next February. [Update]: I should probably note that 12 weeks is a pretty conservative estimate -- it is a possibility that Shipley could return by mid or late October.
