Some might be excited by the news that Denis Clemente was named to the preseason honorable mention All-Big 12 team. I am aghast. Clemente was named second-team All-Big 12 at the end of last season, What, Big 12, did he get worse between his junior and senior seasons? It's really hard to believe there's no bias against smaller schools like K-State when Clemente is passed up for first-team status in favor of Damion James, who wasn't that impressive last season, or James Anderson, who, while talented, doesn't hold the Big 12 single-game scoring record. Good thing it all will play out on the court, I guess.

Colt second team QB behind Bradford, likely because he flipped and fumbled. Muckelroy is honorable mention LB. Quan Cosby didn't even make second team WR. Ulatoski made 1st team OL (Voters didn't watch Aggie game) OU's Jon Cooper was OL of the year, but only second team OL. Find others, I'm sure there are more. Awards are almost as screwed up as the BCS. Update: I agree with you, Stoops getting COTY is disgusting. Good news? Brian Orakpo was Defensive POTY. Roy Miller joins him on 1st team DL. Sergio Kindle made it as an LB, too.
