Fort Bend Elkins offensive lineman Jake Matthews has been vocal about wanting to end the recruiting process as soon as he is able to reach a decision. Early in the process, it looked like that would happen in the spring, though he is now saying that he needs more time to reach the needed comfort level. To reach that comfort level, he plans on trying to take another visit to Austin and will also try to make it out to see USC, a little bit of a departure from previous statements.
For the past month he has been maintaining that Texas and Texas A&M are the leaders, while mentioning USC as a sort of distant third, but it looks like the Trojans will get another visit from the talented lineman and now have an increased chance of landing Matthews.
