Bolles (FL) five-star offensive lineman John Theus narrowed his list to three Friday, with Texas somewhat surprisingly making the final three solely on the strength of the relationship between Theus and Stacy Searels.
Still, being from Florida -- another school in his top three -- and having his older brother at Georgia -- the other -- it's hard to have much hope for Texas, especially considering a probably looming decision for Theus before taking official visits.
Instead, Theus is planning on taking an unofficial visit to Austin this month in order to see the campus prior to a commitment, but as always, pulling a heavily-regarded recruit out of SEC country given only one chance to make an impression isn't particularly likely.
But, hey, at least Texas is still in it. Better than not having a chance.
