In a press conference on Friday afternoon at his school, 2011 SA Antonian F Jonathan Holmes, one of the fastest-rising prospects in his class over the summer, announced his intentions to play basketball at the University of Texas. Holmes chose UT over finalists Purdue, Baylor, and Texas A&M. After F DeAndre Daniels de-committed, the 'Horns were desperately searching for a big man in the 2011 class with limited numbers in the frontcourt projected for that season -- Holmes fills a big need.
