Kendall Sanders officially de-commits from Oklahoma State ($)

It was hardly a surprise, as it's been brewing for some time, but 2012 Athens athlete Kendall Sanders officially let the Oklahoma State coaches know that he has re-opened his recruitment and withdrawn his verbal pledge to the Cowboys. Though his coach says that Sanders will wait until the Army All-American game to announce his ultimate destination, Hookem.com continues to maintain that a switch to Texas is likely to come long before then, as Sanders has made several comments on his Facebook page that would seem to indicate he is Texas bound. Stay tuned.

Texas finally offers Kendall Sanders

After months of waiting that left the Texas fanbase wondering what was keeping Mack Brown and company from offering 2012 Athens athlete Kendall Sanders, the explosive small-school star finally received his Texas offer after a Wednesday visit to campus. Though he projects well on both sides of the ball in college, the current Oklahoma State commit has made it clear in the past that he wants to play wide receiver in college, despite having the skillset of an elite defensive back. The offer appears to be as a wide receiver. As Tipsy Gypsie points out in the post linked above, it's unlikely that the Longhorns would have offered Sanders if he wasn't ready to make the switch to Texas.

Athens ATH Kendall Sanders to Decide Monday

Only days after receiving an invitation to the second Texas Junior Day, Athens ATH Kendall Sanders will reportedly decide between TCU, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State on Monday. Though he did not rule out a visit to Texas for JD2, it seems unlikely that the coaching staff that receives his commitment would care for him visiting Austin after giving a verbal pledge. Sanders did let it be known that he would prefer to play WR and would likely have been offered as a CB by the Longhorns.

Athens ATH Kendall Sanders Invited to Second Texas Junior Day

As reported by both Orangebloods and Hookem.com, Athens ATH Kendall Sanders has finally received his invitation to the second Texas Junior Day. Sanders would project at cornerback for Texas and is a strong candidate to commit if offered. Sanders reports offers from Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas Tech.
