Iowa Hawkeyes Preview

If Iowa wins on Black Friday in Lincoln, the Hawkeyes will have flipped their 2012 record, going from 4-8 to 8-4 in 2013. It's been a pleasant bounceback for Iowa fans, as the four losses have been to teams with a combined 3 losses in '13.

Penn State Preview

This season, Penn State stands at 6-4. At times this season, the lack of depth from the scholarship limitations have been an issue. Other times, it's been the growing pains associated with starting true freshman quarterback Chrisian Hackenberg.

Michigan Preview

Michigan was the trendy pick to win the Big Ten's west division until narrow escapes against 3-7 Akron and winless UConn caused many to reconsider. The defense has been an issue recently, giving up 43 to Penn St., 47 to Indiana, and 29 to Mich. St.

Previewing Northwestern

It would seem that whichever team has the most success running the ball will have the biggest advantage on Saturday.

Minnesota Gopher Football Preview

Despite injuries to quarterback Phillip Nelson and running back Donnell Kirkwood, the Gophers are 5-2...needing just one more victory to become bowl eligible. Will they get it this week against Nebraska?

Purdue Football Preview

If Nebraska struggles with tackling and coverage again, the Huskers could have their hands full. On the other hand, if the NU defensive line can pressure freshman Danny Etling into making bad decisions in his first start, the Big Red could roll.

Illinois Fighting Illini Preview

Like Nebraska, Illinois' defense has struggled this season. Whichever defense fixes the most mistakes this week might turn out to be the winner on Saturday.

South Dakota State Preview (Updated)

South Dakota St. has been ranked 6th all season in division 1-AA. While they'll be trying to get the school's first victory over a 1-A opponent, the Jackrabbits could be excused for looking ahead to next week's game against #1 North Dakota State.

Another Look at Southern Miss

Southern Miss lost to Texas State to open the 2013 season, thanks to six turnovers. But the Eagles did have a solid defensive performance and found a quarterback; both are major improvements over 2012.

Penn State Football Preview

A year ago at this time, it looked like Penn St. was headed towards an extended period of mediocrity. But O'Brien has done an outstanding job of steering Penn St. through the troubled waters so far. Underestimate the Nittany Lions at your own peril.
