Ok, so voting for GG didn't quite pick up steam. ;) Let's hope we can all support Mack in voting for Coach of the Year. I will definitely vote as often as I can, and y'all should do the same. Hook 'Em!
Hey all! I just got an email saying that Davey O'Brien Fan Voting is now open, so let's all do our best to get Garrett Gilbert to the top! Go to the link and vote for him once a day. Pass this message on as much as you can! Hook 'em!
I for one am so tired of the whining from college station these days and yet it still continues. How are they being treated unfairly? They were included in dividing up the blood money from CU and NU when they left between UT, OU and a/m but yet they think we have an unfair advantage. This is the equivalent of crying and taking your ball home but in this case a/m isn't very good and they are simply crying. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Also, Knebel and Weiss were both named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team. Congratulations to the future stars.
That is not including the increase in revenue from the 1st tier TV rights with ABC/ESPN expected to happen in 2015. If this is right there is no doubt that Texas, A&M, and OU should get the 20 million they were promised last summer.
Just for fun ;) "They say all comedy comes from tragedy"
Texas opens NCAA tournament play on Thursday in New Orleans vs. No. 9 seed Wake Forest. Tip time has been set for 8:35 pm. Winner gets No. 1 seed Kentucky on Saturday. Texas is in the NCAA tournament for the 12th straight season. Texas is one of six teams that can make this claim. Also, Rick Barnes has now taken his team to the NCAA tournament in each of the last 15 seasons (three for Clemson, 12 for Texas). Among coaches, this is the longest streak in the country.
Damion James earns First Team All-Big 12. Congrats DaMo! Avery Bradley is All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and earns a spot on the Big 12 All-Rookie Team. Dogus Balbay earns First Team All-Big 12 Defensive Team. James Andreson (OSU) is Player of the Year and Frank Martin (Kansas State) is Coach of the Year.
This guy is amazing, we need him in Burnt Orange next year!
Excellent blog entry over at Barking Carnival written to outline the perspective that UT President Bill Powers may have.
