I thought this was pretty funny. It seems that quite a few aggies on their message boards are hoping to hire Applewhite after they can Fran.  Hiring Major wouldn’t be the dumbest thing that they ever did.  

I can't see him leaving Alabama for an OC position at aggieland, but what about an HC?  That seems too fast anyhow, even for Major, and I don’t think that it will happen.  If I were him, I would stick around at Alabama for a while.  Getting a couple more years under Saban has got to look good on the ole résumé.

If you guys haven't picked up this book yet, you really ought to.  My wife and I took a vacation away from the kids last week, and I read this on the plane.

Marc Pitman tells how he forged a relationship with his son Cole, a former UT D-lineman.  The father/son story is great, and the added Texas ties made this an absolute must read for me.  Anyhow, if you have kids (or even if you don't), give it a read.

Losing him would definitly hurt the TT.  Leach's system will still throw for 10 gazillion yards, but Jarrett is a proven playmaker for them.

While I never saw TT beating us this year, that loss definitely hurts their depth, and likely could be a ray of hope to a&m.

USC has referred this to the PAC-10 for investigation.  My question is how far does this go?  If true, this is a pretty clear violation of NCAA rules, and could result in USC forefeiting games that Bush played in, and make him ineligible for the NFL draft.  Could sanctions extend to post-season awards as well?  My guess is probably not.  

My guess is this will blow over.  But damnit, this is a longhorn sports blog, and if we can't discuss and wildly speculate about this here, then where can we?
